Accuracy is the key to negotiating Southgate's two distinctly different nines. The front side of the 6,138-yard, par-70 layout is relatively flat, but seven of the nine holes require shots over or around water. The back nine holes traverse Tonaquint Mountain, providing awe-inspiring views of the St. George area. Keeping your approach shot below the hole is paramount, as the greens of Southgate's back nine slope severely from back to front.
